About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer (Tech Lead) to own the backend architecture and core systems of a financial data aggregation and tax reporting platform. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will make key technical decisions, write production code, and ensure the platform meets financial-grade standards for security, reliability, and compliance. You will also guide and mentor a mid-level developer.

Your Responsibilities:
Architecture & Technical Leadership:

• Define and validate the overall system architecture.
• Make key technical decisions (stack, services, infrastructure).
• Guide and mentor a mid-level developer.
• Define coding standards and ensure a maintainable codebase.

Bank Data Integration:

• Integrate APIs (PSD2 / Open Banking providers).
• Handle OAuth flows, webhooks, retries, and token refresh mechanisms.

Data & Backend Systems:

• Design a multi-tenant PostgreSQL schema with Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Build scalable, production-ready APIs using FastAPI.
• Implement background job systems (Celery or equivalent) with reliability, retries, and monitoring.

Reporting Pipeline:

• Generate financial reports (PDF, Excel).
• Work with domain logic provided by tax experts to ensure accuracy.

Infrastructure & DevOps:

• Set up cloud infrastructure (Azure or German providers).
• Build CI/CD pipelines and configure Docker environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement data encryption (at rest and in transit).
• Build audit logging for data access tracking.
• Enforce strict tenant isolation across the platform.

Your Profile:

• Education: Completed IT education, a degree in Computer Science (or a related field), or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Mindset: Experience building and maintaining productive systems at scale; able to debug under pressure, optimize for performance, and make pragmatic trade-offs.
• Language: Fluent English (C1).

Required Tech Stack:

• Language: Strong Python (async, production-level).
• Framework: FastAPI (real-world API development).
• Database: PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, migrations).
• Integrations: Experience with financial APIs / Open Banking.
• Background Jobs: Celery or similar job queue systems.
• Architecture: Multi-tenant architecture experience.
• DevOps: Docker (build + debug), cloud fundamentals (any provider).

Strongly Preferred:

• PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Report generation (PDF/Excel).
• Redis (queue/cache).
• Data encryption & security best practices.
• Audit logging systems.
• CI/CD pipeline setup.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
