Job Description

Join Our Dynamic Team as a Cloud Services Engineer!

This position is intended to give senior-level, practical ownership of the organisation’s cloud services landscape, making sure it remains secure, dependable, cost-efficient, and consistently enhanced. The role oversees the management, development, and upkeep of services across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and the Cisco Meraki environment, helping enable modern working practices and strong internal technology services.

What will you be doing?

The role functions with considerable autonomy across core RevOps workstreams, with responsibility for commission operations, CRM governance, and commercial reporting, while also building the analytical capability required to spot risks, uncover performance issues, and support commercial decisions.

In close partnership with the Revenue Operations Director and Senior Manager, the Revenue Operations Manager is expected to lead assigned workstreams from start to finish rather than simply assist in their delivery. The person in this role will also begin building cross-functional relationships with Sales Leadership and serve as an important contact for commission-related questions, pipeline hygiene, and reporting accuracy throughout the business.

Applicants should show strong analytical ability together with operational accuracy, as well as clear commercial curiosity that goes beyond figures alone to interpret what the data means for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Commission Operations & Governance

  • Take full responsibility for preparing, calculating, and checking commission data from beginning to end, in accordance with agreed compensation plans and booking rules.
  • Keep commission calculation files, supporting schedules, and audit records accurate so that payouts remain consistent, transparent, and aligned with company policy.
  • Serve as the main contact for commission queries, partnering with Sales Leadership and Commercial Finance to review discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Spot opportunities to improve commission processes in order to reduce manual work, increase accuracy, and reinforce governance.

CRM Governance & Process Improvement

  • Oversee the governance and integrity of Salesforce data across commercial teams by establishing and enforcing consistent standards of use.
  • Identify, design, and put in place CRM workflow improvements that minimise manual effort, raise data quality, and strengthen pipeline discipline.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to embed effective CRM practices and ensure pipeline data reflects the true commercial situation.
  • Contribute to the wider RevOps process improvement agenda by recognising inefficiencies and implementing changes that increase operational reliability.

Revenue Reporting & Commercial Analysis

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards that give visibility into key revenue indicators, including bookings, terminations, pipeline, forecast, retention, and net growth.
  • Support recurring commercial reporting for Sales Leadership and the Revenue Operations Director, ensuring the outputs are accurate, consistent, and communicated clearly.
  • Go beyond standard reporting by delivering analytical insight, highlighting risks, gaps, and opportunities related to revenue performance, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of reporting within Salesforce and Power BI so commercial data remains accessible and dependable.

Pipeline & Forecast Support

  • Analyse pipeline health and identify potential risks and opportunities across the sales pipeline.
  • Support forecasting activities through data validation, trend analysis, and performance insight, working closely with the Senior Manager and Director.
  • Help Sales Leadership improve pipeline discipline and increase the reliability of forecast submissions.

Whitespace Analysis & Growth Targeting

  • Carry out whitespace analysis to uncover expansion and cross-sell potential within the existing customer base.
  • Provide commercial teams with practical insight that supports pipeline development, account planning, and growth targeting.
  • Assist account incubation work by keeping data on opportunity status and customer engagement accurate.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Develop effective working partnerships with Sales Leadership, Customer Success, and Commercial Finance as a dependable analytical and operational partner.
  • Support the Revenue Operations Director by turning data into clear insight and practical recommendations that enhance commercial performance.
  • Contribute to the broader RevOps team by sharing knowledge, supporting the Coordinator, and taking an active role in team initiatives.

Key Measures of Success

  • Accuracy, timeliness, and governance quality of commission outputs
  • Better CRM data quality and less manual operational effort
  • Strength and dependability of revenue reporting and commercial dashboards
  • Ability to identify and communicate commercial risks and opportunities, not just report figures
  • Quality of cross-functional relationships with Sales, Finance, and Customer Success

Qualifications

Skills Required

  • At least 3–4 years of experience in a Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or commercial analytical position
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, including experience in overseeing data quality and improving CRM workflows
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large and complex datasets
  • Strong analytical ability, with experience evaluating revenue or sales performance data and translating findings into clear commercial insight
  • Experience taking ownership of commission calculation and validation processes from start to finish
  • Commercial curiosity, with a clear drive to understand the business meaning behind the data rather than only the figures themselves
  • Strong organisational and communication abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple workstreams independently and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately within defined compensation rules, approval processes, and audit requirements

Desirable Experience

  • Experience creating dashboards or reports using Power BI or comparable BI tools
  • Experience working with or alongside Commercial Finance or FP&A teams
  • Understanding of recurring revenue or subscription-based business models
  • Experience in a B2B technology or SaaS setting
  • Exposure to whitespace analysis, pipeline forecasting, or revenue bridge analysis
  • Experience supporting or developing more junior team members
